Will the Coronavirus change the way we work and live forever?  The future remains uncertain and we are less than one year into the global pandemic.  Hang on!  Just when you though it was almost all over there could be bigger change on the horizon.

WORK ADAPTS TO ABRUPT CHANGES

Work and school take place at home now while washing hands 50 times a day is our new normal.  On another note, Masks have found their way into retail fashion circles worldwide.  You can pick one up at Athleta while placing an online order for yoga gear which you require to stay calm through it all.   The world feels more unpredictable than ever.  In response, people are shifting towards the simplicity of online shopping for most everything.  The coronavirus seems to be driving society towards a new way where we work, educate and shop virtually.

REMOTE WORK IS NORMALIZED

Going back to the office feels more like a want and less of a need.  This  hybrid model of living is redefining the way we connect, communicate and innovate. Ultimately, lack of daily social interactions could have profound effects on society.  Honestly,  this shift is beyond our understanding.  On the other hand,  there are populations in who are unable to work from home.  In fact,  many jobs depend on traffic streaming into urban areas.  With a digital future on the horizon, can we adapt fast enough to ensure no person is left behind?

WORK WILL NEVER BE THE SAME

While we don’t understand how things will be 5 years from now, a 9-5 work day might be gone. Business leaders want to do better and need to move faster.  Today’s inefficient world is trapped in endless bureaucracy, processes and meetings.  We have mastered the art of wasting time,   We need to harness the highlights of our work culture and align with a digital technology.   Then, business has a chance to create change right now.  This generation has an opportunity to reimagine a new way that will be the roadmap towards the future.
